Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the concept and work processes and the development of sustainable life’s quality “Pid Thong Lang Phra” of the royal initiative discovery foundation in Nan province. It is a part of the qualitative research by critical studying from relevant documents and research, participatory observation and in-depth interviews. The research found that the development in pilot areas of “Pid Thong Lang Phra” project according to the royal initiative is able to develop according to the principle of development under the royal initiative “Understanding, Access, Development” by using analysis criteria 1) survival 2) sufficiency and 3) sustainability as criteria for assessing problems in each community until leading to the synthesis process the problems with community to summary the solution according to each areas. By having the goals for improving the life’s quality of the community towards a sustainable lifestyle that can make people in the areas be self-reliant, to have better quality of life along with solving natural problems appropriately with the need and the necessity of each area.
