Abstract: This research aims to study the level of happiness at work and analyze the personal factors related to the happiness of staff working at Sansai-Mabawong Subdistrict Municipality, Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province. The sample group in this research is all 53 officers performing duties in the Sansai-Mahawong Subdistrict Municipality. The researcher uses a questionnaire to collect data regarding the factors related to happiness at work and the level of happiness of the officers. The questionnaire questions focus on the happiness at work indicator, including health, relaxation, kindness, spirits, family, sociality, curiosity, financial health, and good work. The results of this study show that the level of happiness at work of the sample group is at a high level, with a score of 3.58 Specifically, the kindness dimension indicator has the highest level of happiness with a score of 3.98 Following the dimension of spirits and family indicators, both of them equally have a score of 3.77 On the other hand, the financial health dimension indicator has the lowest happiness level with a score of 3.02 The testing hypothesis results illustrate that the job characteristic factor is significantly related to the happiness at work of the sample group at the 0.05 level. However, other factors are not significantly correlated with the happiness of work of the staff. From the research results, the researcher has the suggestions as follows; (1) there should be an in-depth quantitative study, an analysis to test the means difference of variables with more than 2 groups of variables (3 or more groups). There should be a comparative study of happiness of working in other nearby sub-district municipalities, such as Nong Kwai Subdistrict Municipality or Hand Dong Subdistrict Municipality because their organization contexts are similar. In addition, the multiple regression analysis would be added by other researchers to study the relationship between multiple independent variables to better predict or explain the variation of the dependent variable. (2) There should be a qualitative in-depth study about the guidelines for enhancing the happiness at work for the staff of Sansai Mahawong Subdistrict Municipality, Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province in the future.
