ความต้องการและการตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้สูงอายุที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากเอชไอวี/เอดส์ในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่

Abstract

การแพร่ระบาดของเอดส์ ส่งผลกระทบต่อสังคมทุกภาคส่วน โดยเฉพาะผู้สูงอายุที่อาจเกิดการติดเชื้อขึ้นหรือต้องให้การดูแลที่ลูกที่ติดเชื้อหรือดูแลหลานที่กำพร้าจากการที่บิดามารดาเสียชีวิตด้วยเอดส์ การติดเชื้อหรือภาระการดูแลที่เกิดขึ้นในวัยที่มีการเสื่อมถอยของร่างกาย จิตใจ เศรษฐกิจทำให้เกิดผลกระทบที่รุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุ ดังนั้นการศึกษาในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยแบบพรรณนา (descriptive research) เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการและการได้รับการตอบสนองความต้องการใน 4 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) ด้านความรู้ 2) ด้านเศรษฐกิจ 3) ด้านทรัพยากร 4) ด้านจิตใจและอารมณ์ของผู้ที่อายุ 50 ปีขึ้นไปที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากเอชไอวี/เอดส์ โดยสุ่มกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเฉพาะเจาะจงจำนวน 135 คน ที่อาศัยในอำเภอเมือง อำเภอดอยสะเก็ด กิ่งอำเภอแม่ออน และกิ่งอำเภอดอยหล่อ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบประเมินผลกระทบของเอชไอวี/เอดส์ต่อผู้สูงอายุ ที่มีค่าความตรงตามเนื้อหาและค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.80 และแบบวัดความต้องการและการได้รับการตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้สูงอายุที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากเอชไอวี/เอดส์ ซึ่งมีค่าความตรงตามเนื้อหาเท่ากับ 0.85และค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.90 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนา (descriptive statistics) และสถิติ independent paired t-test

AIDS pandemic affects all sectors in the society, particularly older persons who may be infected by taking care of their children with HIV/AIDS or taking care of their grandchild who parent were death with HIV/ AIDS. HIV/AIDS infection or care-giving's task in the period of aging population lead to the declining on physical, psychological, and economic status of older people. This descriptive research aims at describing the needs and responses to needs of older persons who are affected with HIV/AIDS in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. The needs and responses to needs of HIV/AIDS affected older persons were divided into 4 aspects 1) knowledge and information 2) economic 3) resources and 4) emotional and social. 135 older personsaffected by HIV/AIDS aged 50 and over from four districts in Chiang Mai province, Doi Saket, Doi Lor, Mae On, and Aum Pur Muang were purposively selected. Data were collected by using the Survey of Impact of HIV/AIDS on Older persons. The content validity index of the questionnaire was 0.85. The Needs and Responses to Needs of HIV/AIDS Affected Older Persons Questionnaire was also used for collectingdata. The content validity index of the questionnaire was .85 and the Cronbach alpha coefficient was 0.90. Independent pair t-test and descriptive statistics were used to analyze data.
