Abstract: Ban Tor Phae – Huai Ton Noon, KhunYuam District, Mae Hong Son Province used to be the marching route for Japanese troops during WWII. The majority of Tai or Thai Yai communities, as local culture and tradition are genuine and worth studying. The objective of the research were to study and conservation forms and methods of managing historical WWII route, so asthe communities of Ban Tor Phae – Huai Ton Noon into the historical area and learning source for community. Researches mentioned two Tai Yai communities which consisted of five Tai Yai historical and cultural heritage areas, seven archaeology site and three evidents from WWII period. Therefore the researcher selectedmaterial from the two communities using the value of historical and cultural significant method, then arranged them into historical learning sourses for the community. The 15 selected sites were Friendship Memorial, Airport, Tor Pae Temple, Archaeological Site of Tor Pae, Archaeological Site of Kung Jaw Lard, Archaeological Site of Doi Ja Jee, Archaeological Site of Chruch, Archaeological Site of Ban Huai Ton Noon, Archaeological Site of Buddha’s footprint, WWII Route, Po Ta Ram Temple, Khum Temple, KamNai Temple, and Meay Tor Temple. This research highlighted the method of cooperative community management which allowed the locals to participate in the development process. Effective communication and cooperation between people and local government was crucial in order to cultivate the learning medias and facilities necessary for this research.
