Abstract

The objective of this independent study on the topic of “Expert System for Selecting Computer Specifications Using Fuzzy Logic of Stable Lines Shop" is to use fuzzy logic developed by Visual Basic .NET to assist in decision making to select computer equipment. The approach of selecting computer specification is by using questionnaire to gather requirements and budget. These information will be used for assessment with Mamdani's fuzzy inference method to select computer specifications. From the study and effectiveness evaluation of this expert system, we found that when feeding information to the system, the effectiveness of the assessment depends upon the budget of each computer usage. For example, if the budget is appropriate, computer specifications will be chosen properly according to user’s requirements.
