Abstract: The purpose of this research was to study the outcome of parent participation in promoting oral health of young children, Sansai Sub-district, Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province. The study sample was 16 parents of children aged 4 months to 3 years. The study tools consisted of 6 oral health care promotion activities for parents by participatory learning and tools for collecting data included observation form and assessment form about oral cavity health care knowledge, attitude toward oral health care, and parents’ oral cavity care habit for their young children. The author herself collected data both pre and 4-weeks post activity implementation and analyzed the obtained data by frequency, percentage, means and standard deviation. The study revealed that 1. in term of participation, the sample group well participated in all activities and interested in the activities, join receive feedback and discuss the barriers to oral health care for young children, including an approach to solve the problem 2. for the knowledge about oral cavity health care, before do activities had average 10.46 is 66.2 percentage, moderate proficiency knowledge and then after do activities had average 14.5 is 90.4 percentage, high proficiency knowledge. 3. for the attitude toward oral cavity care, before do activities had average 3.04, moderate level attitude and then after do activities had average 4.45, high level attitude. 4. for the behavior toward oral cavity care, before do activities had average 2.92, moderate level behavior and then after do activities had average 4.45, high level behavior.
