Abstract: | The solid-state mixed oxide method via a rapid vibro-milling technique was explored for the preparation of single-phase Zn2Nb34O87nanopowders. Phase formation of zinc niobate was investigated as a function of calcination temperature by using a combination of thermogravimetric/differential thermal analyzer (TG/DTA) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. Morphology, particle size and chemical composition of the powders were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) technique. The obtained results clearly revealed the influences of calcination temperature on phase formation and particle size of Zn2Nb34O87nanopowder. © 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. |
