Abstract

The objectives of this Independent study on the arrangement of the Hamlin chapel management at Payap university, Chiangmai province to be the learning center for Protestant of Christianity. The purpose of this study were the whole contexts about Protestant of Christianity, the historical background of Macguivary, arts, ideas, meanings, relevant activities and problems of the Hamlin chapel in college of Macguivary at Payap university, Chiangmai province. In order to give a recommendation guideline for preserving, improving of the Hamlin chapel and to establish the learning center for Protestant of Christianity. This Independent study was the qualitative research by using the interdisciplinary research and presents in descriptive research. The tools to collect data were observation and unstructured interview by selecting interviewers and focus group discussion by purposive sampling. The analysis utilizes to preserve, improve the Hamlin chapel and to establish the learning center for Protestant of Christianity. The results of this study on the stained glass in the Hamlin chapel, the entrance area of the college of Macguivary and the oil paintings on the wall of the Hamlin chapel were the channels for people to understanding the teaching of Jesus easily and worth to be the learning center to enhance for Protestants of Christianity. However, there had two problems to develop the Hamlin chapel to be the learning center for Protestants of Christianity. First, the location of the Hamline chapel and second, managing in the Hamlin chapel. Therefore, the researcher suggested three ways to solve the problems are:- 1) Guidelines the way to preserve, sustainability and durability of the stained glass in the Hamlin chapel 2) Improvement the multimedia to promote the value of the Hamlin chapel to be the learning center to enhance for Protestants of Christianity. 3) Arrange the Hamlin chapel to be the living museum for learning.
