Abstract

Thisindependent studyaims todevelop a Decision Support Systems, online, to predict the futurecurriculum ofthestudents in higher education at the PrinceRoyal'sCollege.In addition, a Decision Tree, J48, is applied to recognize the PrinceRoyal'sCollege dataset which contains students of theChiang Mai University and the Prince Royal's College. I adjusted the parameter of theDecision Tree, J48, to complement the experimentscalled the U parameter, Induction of Model Trees, and the Non-pruning Decision Tree,which totaled 75.39 % of accuracy. The pruning Decision Tree totaled 75.58 % of accuracy. Finally, the result of the experiments can conclude the parameter formulation as [-U, -M, 1, -C , 0.25] which receives the satisfactory accuracy of 88.86%. As a result, my model is able to predict a student’s selected, appropriate curriculum in Chiang Mai University.
