Abstract: The purpose of this independent study was to construct learning activity plans for promoting word problems solving ability with multiple strategies on multiplication and division word problems among ProthomSuksa 4 Students. Target group was 42 PrathomSuksa 4/4 students at Anubanphayao School, Phayao Province during the second semester of the 2013 academic year. The instrument was eight learning activity plans promoting word problems solving ability with multiple strategies on multiplication and division word problems. The plans consisted of various learning activities on solving problems with multiple strategies, materials andstudents solved along with procedure of solving problems. The learning activity plans were evaluated by 5 experts, then improved according to their recommendations. The improved learning activity plans were implemented to target group and after teaching all 8 plans, students were verified their ability to solve word problems with the tests. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage and descriptive analysis. The result of the study was all 8 learning activity plans promoting word problems solving ability with multiple strategies on multiplication and division word problems among Prothom Suksa 4 students were appropriate which examined by the experts,After implementing the learning activity plans to the students, it was found that students problems solving ability met criteria both during the study and from the test. Thus the learning activity plans created were appropriated.
