Abstract

The Study of “The Management Plan for “Baan Teuk” Luang Anusarnsoonthorn Building Compound, Chiang Mai as Historical Monument and Learning Museum." aims to study historical background and significant value of “Baan Teuk” as well as relevant historical context to present potential and readiness of “Baan Teuk”. Also, there are to present proper form and technic in managing "Baan Teuk" as historical monument and learning museum. By using tools in collecting data such as non-structured interview and field studies by analyzing historical background, location and physical setting, type and building details, condition and usage of buildings in the past and the present and relevant objects with those buildings to organize data and analyze to present potential of “Baan Teuk” in presenting management form as historical monument and learning museum. This study has found that “Baan Teuk” has potential in location, historical value, aesthetic value, scientific value and social value. Moreover, atmosphere and environment of historical building compound make storytelling and museum exhibition more interesting. The management technic to make “Baan Teuk” as historical monument and learning museum consist of 3 elements. First, the renovation process of 5 old buildings to become a historical monument. Second, the exhibition at “Teuk Luang”, to exhibit in building and atmosphere renovation, exhibition topic design, theme design, exhibition story board, exhibition design and using modern technology and media in presentation to achieve the goal of being historic monument of Luang Anusarnsoonthorn and learning museum about Chiang Mai in the beginning of capitalism. Third, the administrative structure of the historical monument and learning museum.
