Abstract: Diversity of Ferns and Fern Allies Along the Nature Trail of Chae Son Waterfall – Mae Pieg Waterfall at Chae Son National Park, Lampang Province was explored from January 2011 to January 2013. Dried specimen, plant description and drawing were done. All plants were indentified to species using taxonomic keys. Data from the study was used for base data aboutferns and fern allies along the nature trail of Chae Son Waterfall – Mae Pieg Waterfall at Chae Son National Park, Lampang Province. A total of 98 specimens were collected and identified into 33 species, 21 genera, 13 families. Among these, 1 familie, 1 genera and 4 species were fern allies, while 12 familie, 20 genera and 29 species were fern. The most families found are Polypodiaceae and Pteridaceae which 6 species are found in each family, following by Dryopteridaceae and Thelypteridaceae which 3 species are found in each family. Based on habitants, there were 20 species of terrestrials,2 species of aquatics, 1 species of epiphytes and 10 species were found in various habitats. The knowledge from this independent study was used for preparing handout for teaching on Biodiversity of plants.
